When does my plan start?

For most plans, the clock starts when you arrive and connect at your destination — not when you buy or install the eSIM.

What this means

  • You can buy and install at home on Wi-Fi without using up your plan.
  • The plan activates the first time it connects to a network at your destination.
  • From then on, your data allowance and validity period count down.

Validity

Each plan has a stated validity period (e.g. 7, 15 or 30 days). It stops working when your data runs out or the validity ends, whichever comes first.

So install early, travel relaxed — your plan waits until you actually land.
