My eSIM won't connect — what do I do?

Most connection issues come down to a couple of settings. Work through these in order.

Checklist

  1. Have you arrived? Many plans only start when you reach your destination and connect to a local network.
  2. Data Roaming on? It must be on for the beamSIM line (it's a local plan, so no roaming charges).
  3. Right data line? Make sure mobile data is set to the beamSIM eSIM, not your home line. See set your data line.
  4. Restart your phone. This forces it to search for networks again.
  5. Toggle Airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off.
  6. Select a network manually (Settings → Cellular → Network Selection → off "Automatic", pick a local carrier).
